The three giants have been competing with each other for a long time, but yesterday they stood together and were accused of "sharing".

Yesterday, an international environmental protection organization released a report that Lining, Nike, Adidas and other top global clothing brand suppliers all had emission behavior. These toxic and harmful substances were directly discharged into China's rivers along with industrial waste water, which posed a serious threat to the ecosystem and human health.

Reporters called the company to verify, Li Ning Co did not directly declare, and Nike denied.

Pollution behind fashion

The environmental protection organization released yesterday's report on the "fashion poison - the global clothing brand's water pollution investigation in China", which said that investigators investigated the presence of alkyl phenol (including nonylphenol) from wastewater samples during an unannounced visit to the Zhongshan Guotai dyeing and finishing company, located in the Pearl River Delta.

The company is a supplier of Lining, a sports brand, while PFOA and alkylphenol (including nonylphenol) are also found in waste samples from YOUNGOR textile industrial city.

The industrial city is the supplier of Nike and Adidas, a well-known brand.

All of these chemicals have an impact on human health.

The environmental protection group said that after more than a year of thorough investigation, investigators found toxic and hazardous substances in many industrial wastewater discharged from factories in the Yangtze River and Pearl River Basin, involving many textile manufacturers, and behind the supply chain were dozens of top domestic fashion brands.

The environmental protection organization reported that the "wet process" process (including dyeing, cleaning, printing and fabric finishing) produced a lot of wastewater containing toxic and harmful substances in the textile production process.

However, the report also said that Nike and other brands had told Greenpeace that their clothing had not been wet treated in YOUNGOR textile industrial city.

The parties concerned do not agree.

Reporters first called two of them.

After 8 communication, Lining Beijing company, who is responsible for the supplier's business, has never answered the phone. Finally, through the front desk, he said: the instructions for the event will be explained to the public on the website, and the time has not been disclosed.

However, Mr. Chen, the supplier of Zhongshan Guotai dyeing and finishing Co., Ltd., told reporters that the details will be explained in detail today.

Mr. Chen said that the report issued by the environmental protection organization was known a month ago that although the two sides had communicated, the other side had sent an e-mail, but the core details had not been disclosed by the other side, and the communication failed. "The most important thing is that their statements are unscientific, and sampling and testing are a set of reasonable and scientific methods.

It's a simple reason that more than a dozen factories are going to pollute there. How can we say that we pollute? We still have four star qualified environmental protection enterprises.

Nike replied to our reporter: "as far as we know, Nike group did not cause water pollution in the Yangtze River Delta through the contract factories."

Nike said that it is currently working with YOUNGOR group's two factories in Zhejiang Province, namely Ningbo YOUNGOR Knitted Underwear Co., Ltd. and Ningbo YOUNGOR sportswear Manufacturing Co. Ltd., only products tailoring and sewing, without chemical production process, only to discharge daily life waste water to the sewage treatment plant.
