It is the decisive factor for obtaining high economic production and high quality products. The correct needle type and needle thickness should be determined according to the type of sewing machine and the thickness of fur material.

Choose the appropriate thickness of the needle according to the strength and toughness of different fur.

Using the correct needle thickness can make the "edge margin" as small as possible under the premise of the ideal strength, and the smaller machine needle is more convenient for people to stitch the needle closer to the edge of material and fur.

The width of "margin" has an essential influence on material consumption.


The needle piercing into the fur is the process of removing the leather fibers. When the needle is used, there will be larger pinholes in the puncture, so the margin must be widened, otherwise the edges of the fur will be torn apart under the action of pulling force.

In order to carry out rough, high quality and economical fur processing, it is recommended to use special fur needles for sewing.

Because the cross section design of the needle bar is rectangular, it can ensure the stability of the needle even though it uses the finest machine needle.

This also provides the possibility of keeping narrow edges in the seam.


  

Sewing thread

The choice of thickness should be carried out according to the thickness of different needles. The size of the needle eye plays a key role. When determining the thickness of the sewing thread, it should first ensure that the stitches only produce very small friction when passing through the needle eyes. As a general rule, the specifications of the needle eye are generally 40% of the thickness of the needle. Sometimes the thread will bear extra load in the needle because of the high sewing thread tension, so that its firmness will be affected.


Whether it is for skin stitching or skin parts assembly, narrower splicing and "edge holding" require needle to puncture accurately with the lowest puncture force, no matter how much sewing density, fur material thickness and toughness can be achieved.

In the production of fur clothing, special sewing needles with long and sharp "SPI" needles should be used.

This needle tip can penetrate the leather fibers without cutting them, resulting in a very clean and seamless seam appearance.

The triangle needle has a triangular needle tip, which is specially developed for fur sewing. Because of its cutting effect, the needle is easier to puncture on the leather surface.

In conjunction with textile composites, hand sewing machines with "P" tips should be used to avoid damage to fabric fibers.

The needle with knife edge used for leather production will damage the fibers of the fabric because of its cutting effect.

Regular replacement of machine needles should be included as an important measure for quality control in factory production codes.

According to the number of stacked layers, the thickness of the fur and the thickness of the material, the stitching interval can be adjusted appropriately.

Generally speaking, the needle should be replaced at the beginning of each sewing class, and the machine needles should be replaced every two hours in some high strength sewing processes.
